Swing Doctor Golf is the fusion between contemporary sport science and imaginative golf instruction. The underlying philosophy of Swing Doctor Golf is that it is impossible to play your best golf if you have limitations in the four main physical components of the game. These components are Balance, Posture, Strength, and Flexibility. Swing Doctor Golf is a series of both golf specific and general exercises that address these four components.
Dr. Michael Breen and Garett Jenkinson have been teaching Swing Doctor Golf since 1998. What they knew was that general fitness did not make people better players. For exercise to be of benefit , it had to be golf specific and it had to address the aspects of body function that were holding people back from playing their best. Moreover, the exercise had to complement the movement and biomechanics of the golf swing. That is, the exercise not only had to improve balance, flexibility, strength, and posture, but it had to be done so in a way that helped to groove a consistent and repeatable golf move.
